Grey - The colour that goes with everything.

I'm surprised by the amount of greys I found in my stash. I should wear them more, Its pretty hard to look over done with a wash of grey across your lids. Depending on the grey It can really look soft and dreamy or smoky and dramatic.

The first colour at my wrist is the dark grey/black from the Ombres perlees de chanel palette release it has a really beautiful sheen that is flattering on the eye. The next is the grey from Nars Tzarine its very blue based and doesn’t always look good on me. BECCA Chinchilla is a silver grey, the pigmentation is not great, the shadow itself is quite hard and therefore it takes a bit to get it on your brush. Urban decay gunmetal from my Naked palette is blue based too and very pigmented. It has glitter particles that can fall onto your cheeks and make a mess. The next is BECCA Jewel dust in Titania which is the most shimmery and beautiful. I have worn this blended with a black eyeliner (it needs a primer of sorts) and it looks spectacular!

.Titania, Gunmetal, Chinchilla, Tzarine, Chanel perlees

BECCA Silesia from the enigma palette is the darkest of all and very matte. Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on shadow pencil in Mercury is metallic gunmetal grey it’s very smooth and creamy. Urban decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in Uzi is great metallic eyeliner that is easy to blend and the lasing power is great. Bobbi Brown Long wear cream shadow in galaxy is a creamy shimmery grey. A very easy to wear grey that can be worn alone or as a base and is very long lasting.

Galaxy, Uzi, Mercury, Silesia

If you hover over the last two photos you will get the order of colours.

Grey is a great colour and goes with everything. It been massive these past seasons, especially for nails. Below is a fraken I made after I saw a recipe on the blog Fashion polish.  I used the basic recipe but changed it slightly to what I already had.

I used 1/2 a bottle of Colour Club worth the risque, 1/4 of China Glaze Liquid vinyl, 10 drops of OPI Parlez vous OPI? and 10 drops of Essie Chinchilly, You get a lovely grayish holo polish.. It doesn't look very holographic in the photos but that's just because I'm a terrible photographer!

The Holo is alot stronger in realife. I love this polish its work appropriate but has somthing special at the same time.

Are you loving grey? What is your favorite grey polish/eyeshadow?
